Vorgestern ist eine neue Version von KeePassX erschienen. Die Passwortverwaltung für Linux, MAC und Windows ist kompatibel mit KeePass 1.11 funktioniert im Gegensatz dazu aber eben auch unter Linux und auf dem MAC. Diese Version ist wie bereits auch Version 0.3.1 in erster Linie ein Bugfix Release, führt aber auch einige neue Funktionen ein. Unter anderem wird bei gesperrter Passwort Datenbank und dem Versuch ein Passwort automatisch einzutragen, der Passwort Entsperrdialog automatisch eingeblendet. Dadurch kann man es sich sparen die DB selber manuell zu entsperren. Desweiteren gibt es nun ein bessere visuelles Feedback, wo die Daten über das Global-Autotype eingefügt werden. Die neuen Icons aus KeePass 1.11 sind ebenfalls verfügbar. Was für mich auch wichtig ist: Ein Fehler bei der Darstellung und Sortierung der Datumfsfelder wurde behoben, so das die Sortierung zum Beispiel nach letzter Änderung nun sauber funktioniert. Neu ist eine direkte Windows Version, die nach einem kurzen test sehr gut funktioniert. Die komplette Liste der Änderungen liest sich wie folgt:

  • disable precompiled header on FreeBSD by default to fix compilation error (Bug #1943446)
